Once we have completed recording your raw material, our lab-based audio producers take over. If there are tight deadlines to be met, it is not unusual for our producers to start production before we have completed each of the different recording sessions!
Production is a time-consuming process which typically involves listening, analysing and re-listening to the raw audio to attempt to process-out any anomalies.
Our producers will be listening for nuances that may not be audible to the average listener, but that have to be removed for a truly professional result.
For example, did the interviewee move around whilst speaking, causing peaks and troughs in the volume? Or did someone cough in the background?
It is the job of the producer to attempt to minimise any of these anomalies and create seamless streams of high quality audio.
Once we have finished processing the raw recordings, we can move on to the assembly stage.
Assembly involves combining, layering and blending each of the separate elements of your podcast to create a polished and professional sounding MP3 - It is at this stage that we will combine the spoken elements of your podcast with your corporate jingle or preferred choice of music. We handle all elements of the licensing process to ensure the music we use meets all the legal / copyright requirements. Alternatively, we will commission the composition of an entirely unique piece of music for you from scratch over which you will own all rights.
